Care Guide.

With a few simple tips, it’s easy to keep your Chesterfield sofa looking its very best.

As Charming as Day 1…

With the right care and attention, your Chesterfield sofa will stay positively perfect for years to come.

Here are a few things to consider:

#1 - Vacuuming it.

It is important to vacuum your sofa regularly to remove the build-up of dirt and dust.

Make sure that you vacuum the hard to reach places, including the cracks and delves of the sofa.

Removing the cushions and vacuuming these areas will allow you to assess the sofa’s structure and ensure that it’s in good condition. You will also be able to spot any issues, such as general wear and tear holes and fix them before they become a bigger problem.

#2 - Moving it.

To keep your sofa in tip top condition, we advise that you regularly inspect it - plumping your sofa cushions for optimum freshness.

You may wish to switch up your living area, or take your sofa with you to a new home. If so, you’ll want to ensure that your sofa is not damaged during the move.

When manoeuvring your sofa, be sure to lift it from the base. Avoid dragging it across the floor, as the feet of your sofa may scrape or damage the flooring. It’s important to take care when lifting, so we advise seeking the assistance of another person to ensure your safety.

#3 - Protecting it.

Another way to keep your sofa looking its best is to use a lint roller. This is a great way to remove any excess hair, especially if your furry friends like to lounge on the sofa. If you don’t keep on top of this, a build-up of hair can occur, which in time may become matted into the sofa’s fabric or cause discolouration.

If your furry friend does like to relax on the sofa, we also recommend investing in a removable slip cover.

#4 - Cleaning it.

We all like to enjoy an evening treat, but be cautious - any spillages could impact your sofa’s longevity.

Spills can easily stain the fabric and cause permanent damage. If you have any spillages, be sure to blot them immediately and follow up with a cleaner appropriate for your sofa’s fabric.
